My Tools and Supplies
Hardware
Software
Adobe Photoshop
I have used Photoshop for almost all my professional work for the past 12 years.
Adobe Illustrator
I use Illustrator sometimes for my day job. It comes in handy from time to time.
Adobe InDesign
I don’t need this very often, but when I do, it’s super handy for book/page layouts!
Procreate App
It feels disloyal saying this…but I have been enjoying this app almost more than Photoshop! It’s not quite as powerful (yet), but any sketching and painting that I want to do for a project, I can do most the tasks I need to. I will sometimes finish it out in Photoshop if there’s a specific setting I need.
Painting Supplies
I am primarily a digital artist who dabbles in the traditional stuff for fun and practice. These are my go-to supplies when I participate in Inktober or sketching in my sketchbook. If you have any suggestions or questions about other tools you have seen me use, send me a note and I’ll add it here! I truly love and use these products!
Illo sketchbook 8x8”
Recently, I really love the paper in this sketchbook. It absorbs water and paint and it won’t show through on the other side unless you are heavily using Copics and Prismacolor markers
Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bombay Black/ India Ink
I will water the inks down on a ceramic palette to place the greys and then build up to darker washes.
Viviva Colorsheets
(Disclosure: This is an Affiliated link, meaning I get a commission if you make a purchase through my link, at no cost to you)
Highly saturated swatches of watercolors that are so convenient to take with you when you are sketching away from your desk!
Viviva Meditate Kit

Referral Code: holliehibbert
A multi-sensory art therapy kit. Sometimes I just want to relax with art instead of always working with art. This kit is just a perfect way to just let my brush wander and enjoy working with traditional tools.
Watercolor/ Gouache Tin Palette
Compact and easy to clean. Perfect for plein air, or on the kitchen table. These pans are full of Gouache.
Dr. Ph. Martin’s Pen White
I use this all the time for on top of my gouaches.

Still testing these out, but so far so good!
Arches- Watercolor Hot Press Paper
Fancy and Pricey, but perfect for bigger/planned projects
BlackWing Pencils (or any pencil)
These do the job. I’m sure there are better options.

Okay, being a little lazy here tbh, but there’s so many to try, I can’t list them all! Go have fun experimenting! :-)
